7,300 new churches planted in 2017
Hundreds of barefoot pastors in need of sponsorship in South Asia.
The need across the region is still quite dramatic: millions of people in nations across South Asia still need to hear the good news about Jesus for the first time, and millions more need practical blessings like education, medical care and economic opportunity.
In India, the most populous South Asian nation, and where a good portion of our ministry activity takes place, hundreds of millions of people need access to the gospel, and more than 300,000 rural villages still need their first church.
And in the midst of this, India Gospel League’s pastors have sacrificed and shared, and together have planted more than 95,000 village churches in the past 25 years. From these, hope is shining out to a world darkened by desperate poverty and held captive by ancient idolatry.
