GROWTH in the midst of darkness

India is going through many changes due to the recent election. There are many concerns about how the leadership of the BJP will affect the spread of the gospel and the churches throughout India. In light of these challenges, we wanted to share this update from a zonal coordinator based in Vijayawada. He recently sent this communication to Sam Stephens…

“Dear Annan (elder brother) today we had a church dedication at Vinukonda region. Our Coordinator, Pastor Raj (name changed to protect the Pastor), started a branch church in one of our small villages 7 years ago. Now 40 believers are coming to the Church. Our pastor and all the believers contributed money and constructed a church building.”

Sam shared, “This is very exciting for me! It is a classic example of new Christians sharing out of their own need and poverty to help expand the Kingdom—just like the Macedonian church in the book of Acts. Self-multiplying is an indigenous third wave principle of church growth and church health. We are seeing it happen. Praise God.”

Young people are coming to know the Lord, getting baptized and being equipped. Please take the time to pray for this new body of believers.
