From My Heart
Fall Quarterly Newsletter 2016
We envision a day when a Bible-centered, life-giving church has been established in every village, all across India, and even in the other nations of South Asia, leading to the fulfillment of the Great Commission and the extension of God’s Kingdom. The strategy for this, however, is predicated on two core convictions:
First, proclamation of the gospel and evangelistic efforts by themselves, no matter how extensive, will never result in the effective discipleship that is central to the Great Commission. The local church must provide the framework for effective discipleship, which is passed down through the generations. Paul exhorted Timothy saying, “The things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.” (2 Timothy 2:2)
Secondly, the local church must manifest the living presence of Christ’s body through a vibrant congregation of believers deeply rooted in a strong and enduring faith in Jesus. The witness and work of the local church impacts its own community, establishing the values of God’s Kingdom among its people. With a collective vision to see a church planted in every unreached village, each of of our pastoral leaders has the goal of planting one new church every year.
God is holding the door of opportunity wide open for these efforts. Thank you for standing with us in prayer as we pursue this vast vision of nations reached, of villages transformed, of lives changed with the gospel.
Together with you,
